Our Story
This is the story of how Inspire Health and Fitness was created.
Our story is about a personal trainer (Glenn) and his wife (Amanda) who wanted to create a workout experience that people could enjoy and look forward to.
For several years, Glenn worked as a personal trainer and saw firsthand how exercise could affect clients in a powerful and positive way. A few stories stand out.
- There was a very busy mother of three kids who very rarely took time for herself. She had gotten so busy taking care of her family that she had neglected herself. Through weekly training sessions, she was able to challenge herself, improve her fitness and relieve some stress. Her investment paid off when the health of her entire family improved and she got a few hours for herself every week.
- One client wanted to get in shape for her son’s wedding. However, complications from Multiple Sclerosis had made exercise very difficult. Glenn created a workout to improve balance, flexibility, and strength. She was soon completing an advanced training program without getting fatigued, and Glenn was there every week to provide motivation and encouragement. The final result was that she was able to look and feel great for her son’s wedding.
- An overworked business man came to Glenn after years of inactivity. He told a story of enjoying incredible fitness during high school and college but watching his health slide away as he became more and more involved in a demanding career. He was worried that he would eventually suffer from heart attacks and major health problems. Finally, he was ready to take control of his health. Over the next year Glenn helped his client change his diet, improve his blood work, and build up lean muscle. This man is sure that exercise saved his life.
While Glenn was inspired by these life changing stories, he also heard other accounts of unfortunate fitness experiences. One woman told how she was berated by a gym member for not lifting “heavy enough” weights. Glenn also heard countless stories of people who attempted to start a fitness program only to fail due to lack of knowledge or motivation. He was disturbed by stories of unqualified personal trainers teaching unsafe and ineffective workouts. Personal trainers who took pride in making people sick or performing crazy and unsafe exercises reinforced Glenn’s belief that something needed to be done.
After years of dreaming, Glenn and Amanda began developing a specific vision for Inspire Health and Fitness Inc. The key focus was a personal training center that would offer privacy, personalized attention, and skilled staff who could enable clients to successfully work toward their fitness goals. Glenn never wanted someone to walk away from exercise feeling intimidated, unmotivated or defeated.
Since Inspire Health and Fitness opened, Glenn and Amanda have continued to focus on their goal of providing quality personal training in a private and relaxing setting. Our team of trainers love to cheer on our clients toward good health. We enjoy being able to create a different kind of fitness experience. Every client who comes to Inspire Health and Fitness works directly with a professional, compassionate, and motivational personal trainer.
Our inspiration is the stories we help our clients create. Stories of women taking time out of their busy days to unwind and de-stress. Stories of hardworking men making significant changes to their health. Stories of good news from happy doctors and stories of accomplishing goals that seemed unreachable. What will your story be?
